Zoofari Scavenger Hunt

The Arden Kids Club Zoofari Scavenger Hunt was held on Sunday, March 22nd. In total, over 100 homes participated and 264 animals hid throughout our neighborhood! An animal is hiding on almost every single road in Arden. Kids and their families walked around Arden and found the “hidden” zoo animals in front yards.

Carmen Graves writes: "The event was more successful then I could have ever imagined and was a strong reminder of what a wonderful neighborhood we live in. A huge heartfelt THANK YOU to all who participated."

2020 Graduation Parade

On May 27th, we recognized our 2020 graduates who were cheated out of their traditional graduation ceremonies due to COVID restrictions. This was an especially difficult time for both grads and their families, yet they persevered. Congratulations! Well done!!!

June Movie Night at the Beach

We had a great turnout for Movie Night at the Beach in June featuring Sonic The Hedgehog. Thank you all for coming and for respecting

others by wearing masks and staying physically distanced. Please let us know if you have movie ideas for future dates.

A huge thank you to Michael Cosh, Jeanine Prendergast Cosh, Buddy Mastin, and Christopher Graves for making the movie nights a success!!

Fall Fix-Up at Town Hall

Arden Community Association has just completed its first “Fall Fix Up” and the team accomplished so many great things that included painting the shed, painting the entry doors, trimming trees, and building a small porch for delivery men to use to fill the fuel tank. The members that offered their time, effort, and muscle to this project deserve appreciation! One person makes a difference, a group of volunteers can change the world, or in our case, Town Hall! A big thank you to project leaders, Art and Etta Bardelang, Jessica Carzon for signage, Stacey Henderson, Ken and Judy Krantz, Tony Karwoski, Steve Durst, Kim and Sally Franklin, Stacy Hommel, Joe and Sevil Skiratko for the help and sandwiches.

2020 Town Hall Clean Up

Cub Scouts Pack 768 wanted to give back to the community. The Scouts in this pack are all Arrow of Light Scouts in their last year of Cub Scouts. Due to COVID-19 they were unable to do Christmas caroling at the Fairfield Loop Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as they had done in years past, so they asked Art Bardelang if they could help cleanup Town Hall. It was a bit windy on the December day of the cleanup, but they managed to dodge the rain and move some leaves and debris! The families who helped were: Dave & (scout) Carson Tolley, Andrew & (scout) Ben Huppert, Tim & (scout) Paul Hoy, Bill & (scout) Ronin Toner, and Paul & (scout) Reid Qualey. Thank you for helping beautify the neighborhood.

Kids Club Christmas Craft

A virtual Holiday Craft event was held and about 60 Arden kids participated. Kits were made available for pick-up at Town Hall on December 6th. Remaining kits were distributed during the Arden Christmas Parade Clothing & Food Drive on December 12th.

Two craft kits were provided, a cute snowman and a reindeer DIY craft involving a pizza pan. Pans were pre-painted making for a quick and easy project.

Let's Light Up Arden

The Arden Kids Club hosted its first annual "Let's Light Up Arden - Holiday Decorating Contest". There were over 30 houses participating. The competition was fierce as there were only a couple votes between first and second place. Congratulations to Veronica and Michael on Barger Drive for their big win and a huge thanks to them for donating their winnings back to the kids club!!! That's truly the Christmas spirit!

2020 Christmas Parade

On December 19th, we all came together to share the warmth of the season and spready the joy throughout the community. What a heart-felt event and experience to share with all of our friends and families here in Arden on the Severn. Our special guest participant was our very own Councilman Pruski. We also had a very successful clothing and food drive. Thanks to all our gracious donators. You are making a difference locally!

Check out this amazing [VIDEO] coverage of our parade choreographed by our neighbor and friend, Bill Boberg.
