Welcome to our 2021 (Part 2) Gallery of Events. Enjoy the memories we've made together.
Small turn-out but lots of fun. Thanks to all the parents who helped make this event the small success that it was.
Great turn-out July 7th for this beachy play date!
Back at Town Hall again on July 9th, the Seniors lunch featured ribs! Amazing!!! And, as always, great crowd, great food, and great friends.
Arden Teens met at Beach 1 to discuss upcoming community events as well as future meeting plans. More teens signed up to be part of the club. Grilled hot dogs were served up with chips and the teens got a little swimming in, despite the jellyfish.
After the Teens Club Meeting held at Beach 1, the Arden Kids Club put on "Movie Night at the Beach" at Beach 4 starting at sundown. The movie featured was Tom & Jerry. It was beautiful weather and a great crowd, as always!
Starting in August, the Arden Kids Club "Littles" will have music class every Tuesday at Town Hall from 5-6pm. Please join in on the fun with the littles. Outside classes were held before winter set in at Arden Park on Sunday mornings.
Reported by Carmen Graves: "What a great movie! If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend Vivo! I hate to admit it but I cried multiple times during the cartoon movie. Haha. We had a great crowd tonight. Thank you Jessica Singeltary, Michael Cosh, Jeanine Prendergast Cosh, Buddy Mastin, and edna! Without you all Movie night at the beach would be impossible!"
What a great turnout with some yummy steamed Maryland Blue Crabs and lots of good, home-made dishes to compliment!
Our 1st annual chili cook-off was a huge success with 15 entries and lots of taste-testers. It was a beautiful and fun day at the beach!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help us with our Fall Fix-Up event! We got some much needed clean-up taken care of and prep-work for future projects. Things are looking good.
RAIN GARDEN PROJECT
Another amazing turn-out to enjoy a menu of German cuisine! Good times....good people!
Wow! What an awesome night! The kids club had a wonderful time and learned so much at the bat program tonight! Thank you so much Kerry Wixted! We are so lucky to have her here in Arden! We learned some crazy and amazing things about bats, took home a bat goody bag, compared our wingspan to the biggest bat on earth's (it was bigger than every kid there!), and we ended the night with an exciting hunt for bats with the bat detector!
Thanks again, Kerry and to everyone who came out and joined in!
Halloween movie night featuring Addams Family 2! Packed beach....great times!
The winner of our decorating contest is the Kemberling's from Severnview Drive (Section 2). Congratulations! We had lots of great competition and we're all winners!
What a delicious sneak peak to Thanksgiving. Doesn't get any better than pre-gaming with the Seniors Club! Always great food and amazing company!
Although a small crowd this month, we were able to celebrate Mary Kate's birthday and play some fun games!
Before Santa even arrived at Beach 1 to see all the Arden kiddos, there were about 5 families anxiously awaiting. With the constant traffic of children telling Santa what they want for Christmas while their parents snapped their photo, Santa was able to take note and send information back to the North Pole to fill those orders! We can't wait to see the Jolly St. Nick next year!
We had a huge turnout of over 40 people to the annual Seniors Club Holiday Party. Tis the season to be giving and forgiving. Let us all learn some valuable lessons and take note of the things we are thankful for, and pray for those who are not as fortunate. We can all do good in this world, one soul at a time.
Super fun evening with new and old friends and neighbors. Lots of ugly sweaters, a silent auction, and several door prizes. Not to mention a 50/50 raffle to top off the night.
We decked the Hall with beautiful holiday decorations and gave it just the right atmosphere for this special happy hour.
What a great way to meet your neighbors and make new friends!
Our Arden Christmas parade gets better with every passing year. What a wonderful, creative display of holiday spirit and there's no better way to spread the holiday cheer to all of our neighbors than through this amazing event! If you have had the opportunity to participate in this parade, you will know exactly the heartwarming feeling that this season and this parade brings to Arden on the Severn. Our official parade video is in the works now, but you are sure to find neighbor produced videos all over our social media outlets. A special thank you to Karen Selckmann for her tireless organization and planning of this amazing event and for John Murphy leading the way and keeping us safe during our journey through Arden. We would also like to thank our special guest who provided the vintage fire truck, as well as Greg Jeffries for brining up the rear in his beautifully decorated wrecker. And Santa was absolutely magical and brought smiles to so many faces as he passed by singing Merry Christmas! And, last but not least, all of our neighbor participants and many other volunteers who make this parade the success that it is. Thank you all for your support! If you missed the parade this year, you can catch it [HERE]. Thank you Bill Boberg for your dedication to Arden and your and videographer talents that make this priceless recollection possible.
This kids event is special in that it gives them the opportunity to make those special gifts for the ones they love. What a great way to bring out their creative minds and the opportunity to learn about giving. Nothing like those hand-made gifts from our babies.
Reported by Jessica Singletary: "Loved seeing all of the beautiful things everyone made today! Thank you all for coming out and celebrating together today - it was a great time and so nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones as well . Thank you especially to Kerry Wixted - we can't wait to hang up our bird feeder after it sets! And to Lena Mullen for being so awesome and staying to help clean up. Also, thank you so much Francine Young Mastin for collecting for the Veterans. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!"
Thanks to all who participated in our 2021 Holiday Lights Contest. We had a close contest this year. Our top 3 houses were only a vote apart for each! Amazing!!!
Next year, we are planning on more participation and even more fun!
